The new LIVE AT INSPIRED INTERIORS “intimate concert-in-the-round” series was introduced to a fascinated (and fascinating) audience on Friday evening, March 18th with the virtuoso piano artistry of Michael Battle. The aura Michael created on our canal patio was truly of a divine nature. The range of emotion ran from sublimely serene to thrillingly explosive and positively enraptured our guests as we relaxed and let the music and the night air wash over us.
In 2009, Michael recorded a new CD entitled “Chopin after Midnight” and currently this electrifying CD is rated #5 on the Classical Billboard Charts. Although Michael opened with Chopin and ended with Mozart, the bulk of the concert consisted of his original compositions, which eloquently and majestically showcased his artistic sensitivity and passion. This was Michael’s first time presenting a program of his own music and our guests were awed by the beauty and passion…we all anxiously await the release of a new CD of his original compositions expected in June 2011. Next week, you can hear Michael perform live Thursday evening, March 24th at the Commercial Boulevard Pier at Commercial Boulevard and A1A in Pompano Beach, FL.
I, personally, was mesmerized by the artistry of the world-class performance last Friday evening- The “Supermoon” on display certainly added to the atmosphere, but Michael definitely was the STAR…
Unfortunately, for me, I have set a tremendously high precedent with Michael’s performance, so everyone please, wish me luck!
Michael, we all say thank you for enriching our lives with your spirit and talents.
